It looks like recent builds of Blender 2.5 has some new amazing features. One being that you can now set up Blender 2.5 for network rendering. Just fire up the latest svn version from graphicall.org, go up to the Blender Render drop down and choose Network render. So now you can harness the power of all the random computers you have laying around your house. I have quite a few. (Note: this script has an issue on the Windows x64 build I made on Graphicall.org EDIT: looks like it was resolved by installing python 3.1) And the other feature that I want to mension is the ability to modify particle, softbodys, and cloths paths in much the same way as you would use the hair combing feature. My problem is that it crashes just after I select a brush type after going into this edit particle mode(which I think the Blender team will rename now). I don't mean I just crash blender. I crash the whole OS. The only thing I can do is move the mouse. I've don't multiple time and it dies right there. The only that I can do is reboot. Ah well it's a work in progress.... Read More »
